For the past two years, the SALUS project partners have been actively working on the design and implementation of a Next Generation network concept for public protection and disaster relief (PPDR) agencies. The network will provide security, privacy, seamless mobility, reliability, and support for mission-critical PMR voice and broadband data services.
The latest findings of the SALUS project will be presented this December at the Public Safety Communication Europe (PSCE) Conference, which will take place on 9th and 10th December in Oxford, UK. Hugo Marques, the SALUS project coordinator, will present the project and outline the recent developments and accomplishments of the project.
The themes of the PSCE Autumn Conference will focus on discussing the roadmap for PPDR 4G, the benefits of 5G technologies, as well as the results of the World Radiocommunication Conference 2015 (WRC’15) and the use of social media and its challenges for emergency and first responders. The PSCE Conferences take place twice a year and gather roughly one hundred participants from the industry, end user organisations, and research institutes.
PSCE is a key partner in the SALUS project and is actively involved in the SALUS project dissemination activities. For more information and to register to the conference visit this page.
